Letter from the ChairThe Ohio State University’s Department of Anthropology is as diverse as the career opportunities available to graduates of the program. Our faculty members are among the very best in the nation, and we pride ourselves on the numerous research resources available to our undergraduate and graduate students. We are especially proud of our talented and productive graduate students as we work to prepare them to be at the leading edge of the upcoming generation of anthropologists. Our department offers classes and programs in many areas of anthropology, including the three major subdisciplines—archaeology, cultural anthropology (including linguistic anthropology) and biological (physical) anthropology. You can learn more about the courses offered in the Department by visiting the prospective students and current students pages on this Web site. As you learn more about us, what we do and why so many students are considering a career in Anthropology by beginning or continuing their studies here at The Ohio State University, we invite you to contact us with questions or for more information. We look forward to hearing from you! Sincerely,
