Anthropology Professor Jeffrey H. Cohen was an invited speaker at UNESCO’s Foro Internacional: Arte En Tránsito (International Forum: Art in Transit) May 9-11, 2016 in Mexico City.  The conference was sponsored by UNESCO’s Mexico program; Mexico’s Ministry of Culture; Delegación Miguel Hidalgo and the Federal Chamber of Deputies and brought together an international group of artists, critics and social scientists.  Cohen’s lecture, part of the panel Transformaciones Culturales e Impacto de la Migración en las Fronteras e Identidades (Cultural Transformations and the Impact of Migration on Borders and Identities) explored how best to confront xenophobia in the discussion of migration.
