Congratulations to incoming graduate student, Stephanie Fannin, on being awarded a National Science Foundation's Graduate Research Fellowship (GRF)! This fellowship is highly competitive for incoming and 2nd year graduate students.

Stephanie will be starting in our PhD program in the 2023-2024 academic year with her advisor, Dr. Barbara Piperata. Her GRF will help fund her doctoral education and research. For her PhD, Stephanie wants to study breastfeeding as a biocultural phenomenon and pursue a project on how the socioecological context influences human breast milk composition.
