Congratulations, Emma Lagan! Emma is a 2021 recipient of the Graduate Associate Teaching Award from the The Ohio State University Graduate School. She is also the second student from Anthropology to receive this distinction. Dr. Melissa Clark was a 2020 recipient.

The Graduate Associate Teaching Award is Ohio State’s highest recognition of the exceptional teaching provided by graduate students serving as Graduate Teaching Associates. Approximately 2,000 graduate students serve as GTAs each year. Ten recipients are selected each year, making this one of the most competitive awards at Ohio State. We are thrilled to be able to recognize your exceptional ability to demonstrate your knowledge and enthusiasm for your subject, creatively use a variety of teaching techniques, willingness to accept feedback, and ability to constantly improve and develop greater understanding in your students.
