On Monday, February 17, the Department of Anthropology hosted its first annual Anthropology Undergraduate Opportunities Fair.  This event, designed by the Mentoring Committee, provided undergraduate students looking to conduct research, volunteer, or participate in outreach programs with the opportunity to connect with members of the Anthropology Department and Ohio State community. Participants in the event included the Anthropology Public Outreach Program (APOP); ASC Careers; internship opportunities at the Ohio History Center; Study Abroad from the Office of International Affairs; Karen Royce, the anthropology undergraduate advisor; peer experienced undergraduate researchers; research opportunities in cultural anthropology and bioarchaeology; field schools in archaeology…plus pizza and pop!

The event was a success and well attended. The department will host this event again in February 2021.
