Chelsea Hunter Dissertation Defense

Sensibilisation is a French term that is often translated to “awareness raising” but which encompasses a broader set of practices and philosophies that are intended to lead to behavior change among target audiences involved in collaborative conservation and management practices. In this talk, I draw on ethnographic fieldwork in Kanaky/New Caledonia to analyze discourses of sensibilisation.
