She is a SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor of Environmental Biology, and the founder and director of the Center for Native Peoples and the Environment. Kimmerer will discuss her experiences as an Indigenous scientist and writer and explore how we can deepen our understanding of the natural world through Indigenous ways of knowing. She will share stories and insights that challenge us to rethink our relationship with the Earth and all its inhabitants, and inspire us to cultivate a more respectful, reciprocal, and sustainable relationship with the world around us.
