International Graduate Students

 

For general Grad School admission

The university requires official TOEFL, Duolingo, or IELTS Academic test scores from all international applicants, except:

  • Applicants who are citizens of, or who have received a bachelor’s degree or higher by the time of matriculation from, one of the countries or territories exempt from the English proficiency requirement (see exemptions below).
  • Those who have held U.S. permanent resident, asylee or refugee status for more than one year by the start date of the first term of enrollment.

Note: If an applicant’s courses were taught in English but they do not meet either of the above exceptions, they are still required to submit proof of English proficiency.

If the international applicant is admitted, they must move on to the additional requirements detailed in the following sections.
