I received my Batchelors of Science (with honours) from the University of Bradford in Forensic Archaeology and Anthropology, where I researched the affects of medieval military activity on the anatomy of the forearm. My undergraduate research was awarded the Don Brothwell Prize for best undergraduate dissertation project presented by the British Association for Biological Anthropology and Osteoarchaeology. I continued to complete my Master of Science in Human Osteology and Paleopathology at the University of Bradford being awarded the Anne Manchester prize by the university. My master’s research analysing labour divisions through a biomechanical approach in a Hungarian-Szekler population from Transylvania was awarded the Holger Schutkowski Prize for best postgraduate dissertation project presented by the British Association for Biological Anthropology and Osteoarchaeology. My current research interests focus on Szekler archaeology and the use of activity- based changes to skeletal anatomy in order to investigate specialised activities in the past. I currently direct the site excavations of the St. Nicholas church in Székelyudvarhely, Transylvania.
