Sydney earned her B.A. in archaeology at Boston University and her M.A. in archaeology at the University of Liverpool through the US Fulbright Student Program. Sydney’s research interests lie in studying early agricultural systems and responses to climate instability in Central Asia using archaeobotanical methods. The goal of this research is to inform modern studies of agricultural sustainability and resilience.
