The minor in anthropology with an emphasis on the cultural subfield provides a thorough introduction to the study of cultural diversity around the globe. Coursework focuses on comparative analyses of the belief systems, values, economies, politics, marriage practices, etc. of contemporary human cultures.
The minor requires 15 credit hours in anthropology. Students must complete ANT 2202 and 4525 and at least two other Cultural Anthropology courses. The remaining credit hours are earned by completing any additional anthropology course from any subfield (cultural, archaeology or biological) provided it is approved by the undergraduate faculty advisor in the Department of Anthropology, Dr. Debbie Guatelli-Steinberg. For further information about the minor program, contact the Department of Anthropology Advisor Cameron Beason.
