"From better career prospects to better relationships, learning about anthropology can do a lot for you"

Have you ever considered taking a course in anthropology before you graduate? Kristina Trojak, Staff Writer for The Vanderbilt Hustler, thinks that you should.

They argue that there are numerous advantages to studying anthropology, and that the skills and knowledge obtained from courses in anthropology are applicable to any number of career paths. For example, courses in anthropology enhance inter-personal communication and critical thinking, skills particularly relevant for those in both media and health care professions as they gain a nuanced appreciation for the demographics they serve; while students interested in engineering and architecture may gain a deeper appreciation for human variation and the importance of designing products with user needs in mind.

Ultimately, for Trojak, engaging with anthropology encourages an open mind and fosters personal growth, not only making us more effective in our chosen fields, but more consciously aware individuals.
