Steven Rhue and Barbara Piperata Water Insecurity and Childrens' Health Article
PhD student Steven Rhue and Dr. Barbara Piperata are two authors on a recent piece entitled The effects of household water insecurity on child health and well-being. This first of its kind review piece uncovers the social and health burdens of household water insecurity on children. The piece explores 4 key areas: exposure to unsafe water; interruptions to growth/development; negative social effects such as school absenteeism and violence; and other non-communicable health issues such as mental health.
